Try not to party too much the night before
the shoot as it may cost you more in retouching to remove that hung-over
look that agents love so much.
Bring about double the amount of clothes
per look, so four looks would mean you should bring eights changes
of clothes. It's better to have to much choice than too little,
however don't go overboard.
Guys, wear shoes that match what you’re
wearing and girls bring heels if you would normally wear them. It’s
a funny thing but if you look the part, it’s much easier to
feel the part and you never know we may end up seeing your feet
even though it’s a head shot.
Try to hang your clothes up the night
before the shoot and bring them to the shoot on hangers as you don’t
wnat to be ironing clothes on the day of the shoot when you should
just be thinking about looking good.
Don’t plan of wearing anything white,
especially if you’re darker skinned as this usually looks
to bright and draws the viewers attention away from you to your
shirt. Not good unless they're casting a shirt
Don’t wear loud patterns as invariable
you will look at the shot and say, “my face looks great but
I wish I’d worn a different shirt”. If you don’t
say it your agent probably will.
If you really like something that goes
against what I just said, bring it anyway, you never know it might
work. If you have a make up artist already, that’s great,
however I have people I use if you don’t. I can also give
you a list of people you can call if you’d like to check out
their work first.
Finally, just enjoy yourself on the shoot
and don’t worry, I’m a low stress kind of guy and I’ve
done this before and no one has ever died on my shoots. Okay, just
one but I was aquitted.....just kidding.
The shoot will probaly take roughly 1 1/2 hours
for onr look to 2 1/2 to 3 hours for three to four changes. This
includes makeup time so if you have you makeup done before you arrive
you can take off 45 minutes to an hour. You will receive a disc
containing the images the next business day. |
